Lisa Marcy is a managing partner at Clyde Snow Sessions splitting her time between the Utah and New York area offices. She has enjoyed over 25 years of practicing law in the public and private sectors, representing individuals and businesses in commercial litigation, insurance defense, labor and employment, including human resources, and creditors’ rights.
She serves as Co-Director and Faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s Gulf Coast Regional Trial and Deposition Programs and as faculty on NITA’s National Programs. She is Co-Director and Faculty at the Louisiana State University School of Law’s Trial Advocacy Training Program and has served as Leader and faculty for many ABA trial training programs.
Lisa has been listed by Utah Business Magazine as one of Utah’s 30 Women to Watch and as one of Utah’s Legal Elite. She was also nominated for the Salt Lake Tribune’s “Utahn of the Year”.
Lisa has pioneered innovative methods for teaching and motivating female professionals to be successful in the courtroom and the boardroom, in hearings with law partners, legal adversaries and clients. She brings her wide and varied practice to bear in her professional presentations and seminars.
Lisa is a graduate of Hamilton College in New York, received her law degree from the University of Utah School of Law and began her legal career in Paris, France. She is licensed to practice in New York and Utah.
She is the co-author, with Dominic Gianna, of Opening Statements: Winning in the Beginning by Winning THE Beginning (Thomson Reuters, 2013), and has published in the field of trial techniques, advocacy and persuasion.
